The test current for this lightning metering device is 1KA(8/20 us) and it can measure the max current of 100kA.
This is an outdoor waterproof product that does not required external power supplies.
It is light weighted and fixed on the ground wire or the conduction wire. Easy to install.

How to install this surge current counter(ALP LC 1500)
ALP LC 1500 or ALP D9 is not directly connected to the conduction wire.
As shown in the figure, simply attach it to the conduction wire. It will automatically detect the guided power and start operating.
As shown in Figure 1, the surge counter should be connected to the conduction wire.
As shown in the figure, use the band mounted on the product to attach it to the conduction wire. Figure 2 is a top view of Figure 1.
It is very easy to install. You can change installation in accordance with the site condition.

Using the counter window, you can check the number of lightning strikes. (Size marked below the photo: 6.5 x 4.8x4.3)

How to install this surge current counter(ALP LC D9)
ALP LC 1500 or ALP D9 is not directly connected to the conduction wire.
Use the fixing bracket to fix the product to the conduction wire.
This lightning metering device(LC D9) should be installed on the conduction line with a length of 1 to 1.2 meter.
Install it in a place where it is easy to inspection.
Must not expose it directly to the sunlight.

- Do not apply external impacts.
- Do not place a strong magnetic near it.

Reasons for installation
According to the application standards of a lightning rod, a lightning rod should be visually checked for a building. However, this is almost impossible.
Therefore, it is desirable to install a surge current counter and check the number of lightning strikes.
Operational principle
A surge current counter operates by excessive impulse currents generated by lightning strikes.
Each time it passes through the surge counter, it is counted.
